“Imaginal” refers to a world that exists beyond our normally tangible experience, and yet is more than just pretend or fantasy. All of the images and text presented here refer to the external, tangible world, but each page also provides an opportunity to enter the Imaginal world, beyond what is ordinarily directly accessible to humans. The Imaginal taps into deep, archetypal themes, but always surfaces through each person individually, and metaphorically.
The Imaginalist is one who engages in the realm of the Imaginal, and on fortunate occasion, experiences it as a manifestation in the actual world. The Imaginalist engages in a form of radical creativity where one allows consciousness to go beyond the limits normally set by the ego, and to the get glimpses of the Self that often don’t receive the attention they deserve.
